Altenew: Be You & Be Happy!

Hey guys!

Can you believe that this is in fact my very first Altenew card on this blog?! I guess I've been more than hoarding all my sets... which will definitely be changed soon, now I that noticed this ;-)

I used the super fun Be Strong stamp set from Altenew for a product testing video I did for my local store, Ah! La Carte. I got to try the new Masking Fluid from Tonic Studios and absolutely loved the fine tip bottle! It flows evenly without any pressure applied, dries quickly and can be used for adding patterns, even writing.

I showed how to create this card with the fun liquid watercolors from Avery Elle that I have been discovering more and more lately.

I have a video in French on my Youtube channel, if ever you guys want to hear me squealing a bit :-P

Ah! La Carte: Discovering Avery Elle's liquid watercolors!

Hi, all!

I've been doing bimonthly videos for my local store, Ah! La Carte, and I really enjoy it so far, because I can try products and share with all of you how they turned out at first use, no lies or off-screen stuff! A few weeks ago, I got to play with the new Avery Elle liquid watercolors and LOVED them! They are really easy to use and dilute, plus you don't need tons of different colours to create a gorgeous scene. And they can be used over and over again, once reactivated with water in your pan!

On the first card, I used the Cherry Liquid colour for the little dino from Lawn Fawn, and created the sky with Aquamarine and grass with Celery. That's it!

On my second card, I used Cherry, Fizz and Mimosa to create a smooth background, then stamp some fun Party Animals with Archival Ink on top.

Ah! La Carte : Thanks, teacher!

Hello, all!

I have not one, but two projects using the fun A Good Apple stamp set from Lawn Fawn to thank your awesome teachers and educators at this end of year! Unfortunately, the set is now sold out on the manufacturer's website, but you can still find it in local stores, like Ah! La Carte.

I used the Rainbow paperpack from Lawn Fawn on the first A2 card, and quickly coloured the apples with my new Avery Elle liquid watercolors. I completed the project with some enamel dots done with Nuvo Drops by Tonic Studios.

On the second project, I used an Oxide background onto which I embossed a trio of apples with white embossing powder from Wow!, added an embossed sentiment in gold, and a few Nuvo Drops once again. Very easy projects, but always fun to offer!

Lime Citron: La vie est pleine de petits bonheurs

Ça y est! Nous y sommes! Officiellement en automne!

Même la température nous le rappelle.

C'est la saison des chandails chauds, foulards et soirées tranquilles à l'intérieur pour scrapper un peu!!

Ça tombe bien on a un super défi ce mois-ci présenté par ladybird et Denisa chez Lime Citron. Un challenge pour reprendre tranquillement le chemin vers la table de scrap.

Les couleurs sont automnales mais vous pouvez certainement travailler avec vos photos de cet été.

Stamping Bella: Rain or Shine!

Hey guys!

Just a quick post to share this card that I did completely for fun (I swear!!!) using the lovely image Tiny Townie Rachel loves the rain from Stamping Bella.

You may recognize her from a colouring video that I shared on Instagram a few weeks ago, right? Just love her outfit! She was easily paired with a Wonky stitched rectangle die since it was such a large scene that I created.

I also added my own sentiment to the project!

Here's my card to celebrate her milestone. Although I've known Dana for a while thanks to various design teams, I only met her this past January in Phoenix, AZ when attending CHA. We had a blast during Blogger's night and this card sort of makes me think of our good time together. Not that we look like two seals AT ALL, lol!

So I used a stamp set from Clearly Besotted called Seal of Approval, my Copic markers and the largest rectangle from the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Elle-Ments Die Set. Quick, simple, but what a FUN scene to play with!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: Clean and simple!

Hello there!

I'm back for another challenge with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! As the holidays approach, I thought we could all use this opportunity to whip up a quick CLEAN AND SIMPLE card, with a sentiment! Think about it; did you send some greetings to all your loved ones? On my card, I used the super fun Daddy-O stamp set, but you don't have to make yours all holiday-ish. Just have fun!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps : New release Day 3, It's adventure time!

Hi guys!

We keep on having fun at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps with release day 3 featuring Cheryl Alger's work!

This image reminds me so many good memories of creating fabric tents in the basement when I was a child and imagining stories out of this world.

So with this in mind, I created a very clean and simple card to really focus on the image. I stamped it with Tuxedo Black ink from Memento ink on Cryogen White cardstock, coloured it with Copic markers, and then die-cut it with one of my all-time favourite die at Avery Elle called Wonky Stitched rectangles. I added the panel to a simple white sturdy cardbase, stamped a sentiment from the stamp set onto the banner die-cut, popped it on the card with 3d foam adhesive, and completed the look with a few enamel dots. Voilà!

Gooooood morning!

Welcome back to Day FOUR of our September Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Can you believe we aren't even HALF way through all of the NINE new stamp sets we are releasing?! This is going to be an AMAZING holiday release....you have no idea! ;)
