SugarPea Designs: Multi-stamping!

Good morning, all!

What an amazing release week there was on the SugarPea Designs blog just last week, right? As I'm getting ready to order all of it from the brand new store (yay!), I wanted to highlight one of my favourite sets so far, called Better Together!

I first wanted to create this card with a multi-stamping technique. It is quite easy! I started with a white A2 cardbase, folded from the top. Then, I cut a 4"x5-1/4" piece of my favorite coloring cardstock so that I could color with Copic markers on it. Taking out the Better Together stamp set, I started first inking in black and stamping the larger items, then the smaller ones, making sure to turn, angle, and move them around so that the full panel would be covered.

After that, all that was needed was to colour each fabulous image. TIP: using a few light markers around each shape to create a shadow will help make the images pop against the white background, creating more dimension.

Once the panel was done and added to the cardfront with foam tape, I heat embossed the sentiment with gold powder on a stripe of black cardstock and glued it to the center of the card. That was it!

I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy technique :-) and make sure to visit the new SugarPea Designs store!

SugarPea Designs : New Release Day 4, BoHo Feathers!

Hi, all!

Already Day 4 of the new release at SugarPea Designs, and I am SO excited to share today's project! I definitely wish I had filmed it to show you guys, so I might recreate it, for fun ;-)

Today's feature is all about BoHo Feathers! So trendy and fun to play with, a real must-have to add to your cart on Friday night when the release hits the show. Just sayin' ;-)

To create this card, I used an oxided background and heat embossed with several different powders the various feathers from the stamp set. I loooooove the big sentiment that comes with it, too!

Make sure to come back tomorrow for our last but not least feature!

SugarPea Designs : New Release Day 1, Llama Just say! + VIDEO

Hi guys! Ok, last one for today, I promise!

It's ALSO new release at SugarPea Designs this week, yay! And today's featured project is all about llamas. Be still, my heart!

I simply ADORE this set and its coordinating SugarCut, so make sure to have a look at how I did it below :-)
See the full process of this card in a video over at the SugarPea Designs Youtube channel!

I promise you, you won't want to miss tomorrow's post, either! Oh and be ready Friday night, 6pm EST, to order these cuties in the shop :D

Ah! La Carte: Discovering Avery Elle's liquid watercolors!

Hi, all!

I've been doing bimonthly videos for my local store, Ah! La Carte, and I really enjoy it so far, because I can try products and share with all of you how they turned out at first use, no lies or off-screen stuff! A few weeks ago, I got to play with the new Avery Elle liquid watercolors and LOVED them! They are really easy to use and dilute, plus you don't need tons of different colours to create a gorgeous scene. And they can be used over and over again, once reactivated with water in your pan!

On the first card, I used the Cherry Liquid colour for the little dino from Lawn Fawn, and created the sky with Aquamarine and grass with Celery. That's it!

On my second card, I used Cherry, Fizz and Mimosa to create a smooth background, then stamp some fun Party Animals with Archival Ink on top.

Have a look at the video right here in FRENCH or on Youtube (for HD version)

There are more colours available out there and I cannot wait to use them some more!

Good morning everyone!

I'm very happy to share today's card with you all for La-La Land Crafts, as I'm starting to use less and less patterned papers, thanks to the gorgeous background stamps they now offer!

As you might know, this week's inspiration for Team Monday is all about embossing. So I just had to create a fully embossed turquoise background for my little Frenchie, and a fabulous embossed sentiment.

Here are the products used:
Stamps
Dies

Copics used:
Brown - E59-57-35-33-31
Teal - BG18-15-13-11
Blue - B99-97-95-93
Lime Green  - YG25-23-21

Ah! La Carte : Thanks, teacher!

Hello, all!

I have not one, but two projects using the fun A Good Apple stamp set from Lawn Fawn to thank your awesome teachers and educators at this end of year! Unfortunately, the set is now sold out on the manufacturer's website, but you can still find it in local stores, like Ah! La Carte.

I used the Rainbow paperpack from Lawn Fawn on the first A2 card, and quickly coloured the apples with my new Avery Elle liquid watercolors. I completed the project with some enamel dots done with Nuvo Drops by Tonic Studios.

On the second project, I used an Oxide background onto which I embossed a trio of apples with white embossing powder from Wow!, added an embossed sentiment in gold, and a few Nuvo Drops once again. Very easy projects, but always fun to offer!

See the full video (in French!) below or on Youtube for HD

I am entering these two projects that were inspired by this gorgeous moodboard at Lawn Fawnatics!

The Greeting Farm: Happy to sea you!

Today's set is called HAPPY TO SEA YOU, and features more sea creatures to round out all the water fun! Check out that awesome shark and whale on the blog! And, of course, the sentiments with this set are fabulous.

Tomorrow, Tuesday May 15th, is our Blog Hop, where one lucky person will win this entire release!! Our hop is small so be sure to play along.

Stamping Bella: Unicorns love!

Hey guys!

I'm back with you for another project featuring the awesome products at Stamping Bella. I hope you enjoyed all the projects so far!

Today's card, as advertised last week, is all about taking masking to the next level and creating a colorful, magical scene with the lovely Unicorns, Unicorns Add Ons and the Cave Kids Backdrop! Confession: I am completely addicted to all three sets. Like, REALLY addicted! I just want to use them over and over again! Plus, it is so easy to create tons of cards out of them for various occasions, so look no further, and order them. Now. (Is it done, yet? ;-) )

I really have a thing for unicorns, so this scene came to me very easily. Doesn't it scream happiness?! So, to create it, I first started with a 6"x12" white cardstock, folded in two from the top, in order to have a 6"x6" square card. Then, I cut a 6"x6" panel from my favourite colouring cardstock, so that I could simply glue it to the cardbase once it is fully coloured and it would perfectly fit.

Just as I mentioned it last week, the key to create a perfect masked scene is to stamp the images you want to be the focal point. In this case, I played around with all the gorgeous Unicorns, stamped them onto the colouring cardstock, and again on the mask paper to cover them. I did keep one aside, so that I could add dimension with foam tabs and it would pop from the card even more. Then, I stamped the Cave Kids Backdrop, followed by the lovely accessories from the Unicorns Add Ons set (a must-have!). I coloured everything with my favourite medium, and then I simply stamped and embossed with white powder a sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock. I added a few dots as a finishing touch, and that was that.

Here's the video where you can see the whole process of masking, colouring and creating the card. Watch it below or on Youtube in HD!

The Greeting Farm: New release Day 1, Save the day!

Hello everyone!

Today is a fantastic day because I am finally able to share this project for The Greeting Farm! It features the awesome new set called Save The Day, with dragons, princesses and knights!

Isn't it fabulous?! To create this project, I first inked a background with Oxide inks (that many of you saw on my Instagram account a few weeks ago!), then I embossed with white powder the castle and sentiment so that it would pop against the colors. Then, I stamped all the characters onto some Cryogen White paper, coloured them with my Copic markers and die-cut with the coordinating dies that you will all be able to buy on the 15th of this month! Nothing complicated, yet a stunning effect!

Make sure to stop by the blog at The Greeting Farm to see what the design team created with this awesome set, you won't regret it!

Concord and 9th: 4 Balloon cards for a very happy birthday!

Hello, all!

I'm back to share with you another set of cards, this time using the Happy Balloons stamp set from Concord and 9th. And if you are feeling up for it, there's a video (in French!) that I filmed for my local store :-D

I used a bunch of inks from Lawn Fawn, but since I wanted the set to coordinate, you can reuse the same ones over and over again: Freshly cut grass, Merman, Wild rose de Lawn Fawn.

All sentiments were embossed with Gold Pale Super Fine embossing powder from Wow! and the projects were completed with Simply White Nuvo Drops. Hope you like them!

Watch the video here or in HD on my Youtube channel (and yes, this one is in French!)

Also, I am entering this set of cards for Simon Says Wednesday challenge's Happy Birthday one!

And here is my project, using three characters of the lovely ENJOY stamp set. I think they will be perfectly versatile, not only for Easter (that is just a few weeks away!). I simply stamped and coloured them all, then die-cut with the coordinating set, so that I could them to my A2 cardbase that was only completed with a die-cut panel and a few Nuvo Drops. I stamped and embossed in white the sentiment onto some navy cardstock. That's all! Simple and super fun :-D

Happy hopping!

SugarPea Designs: Winter release day 4. Topiary!

Hi, all!

This is Day 4 of the new release at SugarPea Designs and there is something very nice for you to see out there (or below, it's up to you :-P)!

I'm sure by now you will all have realized that I'm not an ink gal, or at least I wasn't up to this very moment. It's not that I don't like ink pads, as I do have quite a few, I just wasn't confident enough on actually using them with solid images. But here's to a new era, thanks to the new stamp set featuring gorgeous topiaries!

You can use this set for so many occasions! In fact, I think I'm going to write down every card I do with it so that in the end, I'll know how worth it has been, eheh! The sentiments are all very useful and the font is pretty neat!

I had a card to make for a friend who is graduating from university and I thought why not make it simple, yet elegant, using the new Topiary stamps and matching dies. I also used the card building die set from Day 1, because yes, if you don't know it by now, it's also a must-have!

Like it, love it? Share some love on the SugarPea Designs blog for a chance to win prizes!

SugarPea Designs: Winter release day 2, Heartfelt sympathy!

Hey guys!

It's day 2 for the new release at SugarPea Designs and I'm pretty sure you will all agree that there are some themes, as cardmakers, that we just can't avoid, right? Today's featured products will definitely answer to one of these needs...

I'm ashamed to say that I didn't own any sympathy sets until now, almost refusing to acknowledge this need, althought I've had to do a few over the years. Now, with the new Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set and the Sympathy die, I can honestly say that there will be something I reach for without hesitating.

I've used both sets on my card today, along with the Peony stamp set that was featured yesterday. I think they all complete each other so well.

To create this card, I use a prefolded 4¼"x5½" white cardbase (the ones I like to do while watching tv, to save time, eheh!) onto which I added a piece of pattern paper from the Spots & Stripes collection that was die-cut with the Card Front Element Builder that was also featured yesterday. I cut some vellum with the scallopped die, so that I could stamp the flower and sentiment onto it with Versamark and then emboss them with super fine white embossing powder from Wow!. I added two die-cuts from the Sympathy one (made out of white and black cardstocks) on top of it, finished with a few white drops from Nuvo by Tonic Studios and that was it.

I hope you will all hop over the SugarPea Designs blog and leave a comment for a chance to win
some prizes!

SugarPea Designs: Winter release day 1, hello!

Hello, hello!

Guys, it's time... I know, you all have been waiting for the new Winter release from SugarPea Designs and we are thrilled to feature it every day until it becomes available this Friday!

As always, the team has some amazing inspiration in store for you and let me tell you, this release is my favourite of all times! And day 1 is all about not one, but THREE brand new products; a Card Front Element Builder, a fabulous Peony stamp set, and the Hello word die that will be the Sweet Incentive for this month!

I tried to include all three sets on my card, but I have to confess that they are all just SO fun to use! Seriously, you must get them, no point thinking about it. The dies are super easy to use and just the right size. The Peony set... well, it's flowers, what more is there to say?!

So, in order to make everything look nice without overcrowding the card, I kept the flowers to a minimum by embossing them with some Gold Pale super fine embossing powder by Wow! and you can definitely see the shimmering effect better on the picture below. What can I say, gold, black and pinch of pink is all a girl can ask for!

Like it? Make sure to leave some love on the SugarPea Designs blog for a chance to win some prizes!
