Lawn Fawnatics: Winter challenge!

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since I blogged, although I've been very busy on Instagram stories, so I figured I should share a few Christmas cards I created :-) 

Today's project was inspired by the Lawn Fawnatics Winter Challenge, mainly for a snowy landscape!

I've been obsessed lately watercoloring with my Gansai Tambi and this makes no exception. I first started by creating a scene with the Oh What Fun and Winter Village stamp sets from Lawn Fawn using Versamark ink and Wow! Gold embossing powder on Arches Hot Pressed Watercolor paper. After colouring the entire scene, I splattered a few gold drops with the Starry palette and left it to dry. Then, I cut the watercoloured panel with my Guillotine from Tim Holtz to 3 1/2"x 5 1/4" and added it to a white A2 cardbase with double-sided foam tape from Scotch 3M. I stamped a sentiment from the Snowy Backdrop stamp set with my Mini Misti tool and Jet Black Archival ink from Ranger. I completed the card with iridescent sequins, and voilà!

The Greeting Farm: Enjoy

Hello, all!

I am super happy to share a very quick and easy project for The Greeting Farm using the newest digital stamp in store, Cheeky Darling! She is just the cutest thing, and one little bird told me she was a very favourite in the Cheeky line! And if you were wondering if you had seen her in these colours before, the answer is yes! I did a quick video on Instagram when she was launched :-)

Since I already had my image all coloured up, I fussy cut her with sharp scissors and she was ready to be placed on a white A2 cardbase with two die-cuts to frame her nicely. I really wanted to add a sentiment at the bottom of the card, so I took out the lovely Enjoy clear set and borrowed a sentiment that fits perfectly!

I hope you like this project and cannot wait what YOU come up with!

Ah! La Carte: Discovering Avery Elle's liquid watercolors!

Hi, all!

I've been doing bimonthly videos for my local store, Ah! La Carte, and I really enjoy it so far, because I can try products and share with all of you how they turned out at first use, no lies or off-screen stuff! A few weeks ago, I got to play with the new Avery Elle liquid watercolors and LOVED them! They are really easy to use and dilute, plus you don't need tons of different colours to create a gorgeous scene. And they can be used over and over again, once reactivated with water in your pan!

On the first card, I used the Cherry Liquid colour for the little dino from Lawn Fawn, and created the sky with Aquamarine and grass with Celery. That's it!

On my second card, I used Cherry, Fizz and Mimosa to create a smooth background, then stamp some fun Party Animals with Archival Ink on top.

Ah! La Carte : Thanks, teacher!

Hello, all!

I have not one, but two projects using the fun A Good Apple stamp set from Lawn Fawn to thank your awesome teachers and educators at this end of year! Unfortunately, the set is now sold out on the manufacturer's website, but you can still find it in local stores, like Ah! La Carte.

I used the Rainbow paperpack from Lawn Fawn on the first A2 card, and quickly coloured the apples with my new Avery Elle liquid watercolors. I completed the project with some enamel dots done with Nuvo Drops by Tonic Studios.

On the second project, I used an Oxide background onto which I embossed a trio of apples with white embossing powder from Wow!, added an embossed sentiment in gold, and a few Nuvo Drops once again. Very easy projects, but always fun to offer!

Concord and 9th: 4 Balloon cards for a very happy birthday!

Hello, all!

I'm back to share with you another set of cards, this time using the Happy Balloons stamp set from Concord and 9th. And if you are feeling up for it, there's a video (in French!) that I filmed for my local store :-D 

I used a bunch of inks from Lawn Fawn, but since I wanted the set to coordinate, you can reuse the same ones over and over again: Freshly cut grass, Merman, Wild rose de Lawn Fawn.

All sentiments were embossed with Gold Pale Super Fine embossing powder from Wow! and the projects were completed with Simply White Nuvo Drops. Hope you like them!

Stamping Bella: Edna Loves Ice Cream!

Hey everyone!

I'm so excited to share with you today's card featuring an awesome stamp set by Stamping Bella called Edna Loves Ice Cream! Secretly though, I have to admit that I'm a huge fan of EVERYTHING in store, so you already (and definitely) see lots of them on my blog and Instagram!

Indeed, today's project is even better because it is filmed from start to finish. Watch it right here or on my Youtube Channel for the HD version!

I first started by stamping the lovely Edna, then coloured her with Copic markers. You can find the list of markers used below. One layer of colours was enough, but you could definitely add more depth by doing two. I then fussy cut her with sharp scissors, but save yourself some time and buy the coordinating Cut-It-Out when you order your set; SO worth it!

To create the card, I first selected a white A2 cardbase (4¼"x5½" once folded from the top), then cut out a piece of pattern paper to match the colours I had chosen for Edna, carefully creating a large opening with a circle die so that the cardbase would show through and reinforce focus on the image. I stacked it down with some foam tape for more dimension. Then, I stamped the AMAZING sentiment in black ink onto a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it so that it would fit nicely at the bottom of the card once popped onto some foam tabs. 

I completed the card by placing Edna Loves Ice Cream onto a wobble spring right in the opening and added a few white dots for a nice finishing touch. I dare you to use one of these wobbly thingies with the critters at Stamping Bella , wouldn't it be fun?!

Lawn Fawn: Three cards, one video! (French version)

Just wanted to share this cute set of cards I did with Lawn Fawn products and enter their latest challenge at Lawn Fawnatics! I couldn't stop myself from creating when using the same two stamps sets called Plus One and Gingham Backdrop when my favourite local store (Ah! La Carte) sent them to me in my latest haul :-D

La-La Land Crafts: Birthday Inspiration!

Gooood morning!

Today is Inspiration Day for La-La Land Crafts and our newest theme is all about BIRTHDAYS! And I used the cute Blowing Bubbles Luka stamp for a masculine twist.

I don't know about you guys, but I feel like I'm always creating girl stuff, so I need to get more and more out of my comfort zone. Indeed, this card is pretty clean and simple, although I did use a few dies here and there: the little banner from the Stitched Elements (set of 7), Happy Stitched, Build-a-Frame Fancy Small (set of 2), and the Build-a-Frame Fancy Large (set of 2). 

Oh and can you see all that texture on Luka's clothing? Definitely one for the books, eheh!

The Greeting Farm: February Release day 1, the snuggle is real!

Oh, hello farmers!

Time for a new release at The Greeting Farm, isn't it? You're in for something REALLY cute this week, I promise!

The very first set we are featuring is called The Snuggle Is Real and boy is it adorable! The images are perfect for you planner lovers, but also for cardmaking AND cutesy projects like the one I did today. 

This set features young ladies with their dogs and I find them just so adorable that I imagined someone would actually treat their furry friends with a little something sweet from time to time, right? So here you go, matching stamps and dies to the rescue (punt intended)!

As you know, the entire release is available every time on the 15th of the month, so make sure to come back tomorrow for some more inspiration featuring another paw-some set ;-)

Hey guys!

I'm super happy to be able to show you this post, because I have not only a gorgeous project to share, but a video, too! 

As soon as I saw the Hobby Chicks stamp set at Your Next Stamp a few weeks ago, I knew I had to come up with a colorful project to match them. Of course, I wasn't planning to use all stamps onto the same card at first, but hey, when the inspiration strikes, you go ahead, right? And how could you resist them! Plus, you can get the coordinating dies so that you don't have to fuss over. Well, that is, if you get the most awesome snippers in store, too! I'm telling you, I don't know how I could live without this! Ah in fact, I do, it cost me 3 pairs of Tim Holtz scissors until now, lol!

Lawn Fawnactics Challenge 21 - Inspiration Board

Hey, all!

I'm slowly recovering from Creativation 2018 (gosh, has it been a week already?!) and although I have lots of things to do, time is merely there! I guess that what's you get for spending a week with the most creative minds on the planet, right?

But anyway, I just thought I'd share this cute card I made with two sets from Lawn Fawn, Oh Snap and Winter Otter.

I'm still in a Christmas mood (and don't judge, but I will definitely try to make Christmas projects all year long!) but the latest Inspiration Board at Lawn Fawnatics totally got to me with the blues and reds!

And since it is still winter after all, I figured it was okay to use these sets.

Ah! La Carte: Kit du mois..un peu en retard :-P

Allô tout le monde!

Je reprends tranquillement le dessus de cette fin d'année de fous (en fait, l'année entière a été une tornade, mais bon) et je tenais à vous présenter le plus récent kit carterie offert chez Ah! La Carte, mettant en vedette une collection de papiers aux teintes très douces de Kaisercraft, une jolie étampe de Stamping Bella et quelques décos ici et là. Un total de 5 créations ont été faites à partir de ce kit et il me reste encore plusieurs retailles; vous en avez vraiment pour votre argent :-)

J'avais SI hâte de vous montrer cette petite boîte faite à partir de la matrice de découpe Scalloped Treat Box! Je vais certainement en refaire tout plein, et quelques vidéos pour vous montrer comment l'assembler. C'est un must!

La deuxième carte, utilisant une matrice de découpe de LDRS Creative pour encadrer l'image de Stamping Bella qui a été entre autres créée avec la technique de paper piecing pour la jolie tasse.

Utilisant à nouveau l'étampe de Stamping Bella, j'y ai été dans un mode très fleural pour cette troisième carte, ajoutant un doily fait avec une matrice de découpe encore une fois de LDRS Creative.

Pour la 4e carte, un modèle plus Clean & Simple, mais tout aussi fun, utilisant une autre image de Stamping Bella et la matrice de découpe Wonky Rectangle d'Avery Elle.

Et finalement une étampe de The Greeting Farm dans des teintes éclatées pour aller avec le papier à motifs très chargé sur le fond de la carte, ainsi qu'un souhait de fête de Lime Citron disponible en boutique, bien sûr.
