SugarPea Designs: When life gives you lemons...

Good morning everyone!

I have a new card to share with you today for SugarPea Designs :-)

With this past week-end sale on paper pads (didn't see it? make sure to follow our Facebook page for all promotions and giveaways!), I really wanted to play with the Whatever The Weather Patterned Paper Collection

Isn't it super cheery and colorful? Plus, I love how you can easily match the colours from the paperpads to Copic markers, the way I did with the Pucker Up stamp set

I first started by stamping the pitcher and the juicer onto some Cryogen White cardstock, then coloured them with the markers I just mentionned above. After that, I die-cut them with the matching SugarCut (so useful and a real time-saver!), and put them aside while I did the card itself.

I folded a 4½"x11" piece of white 100lbs cardstock in two to create the cardbase. I like how this material is so sturdy! Then, I die-cut a panel from the SugarCut – Arrow Cover Plate into the stripe pattern paper. Oh! always keep those extra bits from die-cutting aside, as you can easily reuse them in a shaker project or as a finishing touch :-) My two-cents!

After mounting the panel onto the cardbase with some foam tape for extra dimension, I die-cut two circles with the SugarCuts – Zig Zag Stitched Circles in order to center all my coloured pieces together. And what's a card without a good sentiment, right? I especially love the font on this one from the same stamp set, so I stamped it onto a white tag done using the SugarCut – With Love Tag and completed it with a red polka dot heart and green branches.

I added a few white Nuvo Drops here and there, and that was it!

Ready to give it a try? Make sure you come and show us the result on the SugarPea Designs Facebook group, where LOTS of inspiration happen!

SugarPea Designs: New release Day 4, Mugs Kisses!

Hi everyone!

As this will be a very busy day for me at school, I'll try to keep this short. And we all know why you're here, right? It's day 3 of the new release at SugarPea Designs, yay!

Let me tell you, you're in for a real treat with this new set called Mugs Kisses by my dear friend Becky :-D I mean...Coffe mugs, tea cups, hot cocoa... what else do you need in LIFE!

I kept today's card very simple and whipped it up in no time thanks to the amazing paperpad already available in store called Happy Holidays

I simply cut two sheets, added them to my cardbase, stamped a sentiment, and completed with the silhouettes that I had previously coloured with my Copic markers.

Watch the entire cardmaking process on video! Here's the link:

Once again, make sure to comment on the SugarPea Designs blog for a chance to win PRIZES! Only one more day before the release is available :-D

SugarPea Designs: New release day 1, Eskimo Kisses!

Hello everyone!

I'm super excited to be back to blogging more this week, as things have been REALLY hectic with my intensive semester and all. So let's focus on the new release at SugarPea Designs, shall we? :-)

Today's card is all about Eskimo Kisses, a gorgeous set that my friend Becky designed! And I was super inspired in creating a galaxy background with distress inks, so after looking out for tutorials, I used this post by Yana Smakula to get the technique going. Thanks you, Yana! I did modify a few things, like creating the starry sky with Frantage embossing enamel from Stampendous and masking the panel to add a Copic scene. Why, yes, I love my markers :-P

SugarPea Designs: How! + VIDEO

Hey, all!

I'm back with you today and I thought I'd show you today how quickly and adorable the teepees from the gorgeous Indian Summer stamp set can be done.

I simply can't get enough of this set as Fall is slowly entering town, so I keep playing with it, eheh. As you can see, I paired the stamp set with its coordinating die set and they are placed on top of a SugarCut – Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles and two layers of the brand new Spots & Stripes Brights Patterned Paper Collection, one being made from the new SugarCut – Arrow Cover Plate

I just love how vibrant these papers are! They match every colouring you could come up with!

And when I say quick, I mean SHORT and SWEET! Are you ready? Because in less than 2 minutes, you'll have seen the whole thing, I promise ;-)

(can't see the video? Here's the link!)

See you next time!

SugarPea Designs: STAMPtember with Simon Says Stamp!

Hello everyone!

I'm thrilled to be part of STAMPtember at Simon Says Stamp today because, you've all guessed it, SugarPea Designs is doing an entirely EXCLUSIVE set just for this! Woot woot!

It features the cutest koalas you'll ever see, paired with a bunch of fun sentiments and a few accessories. Not a fan of fussy cutting? Don't worry, Simon Says Stamp has a coordinating set of dies

Now, from past experience, I would say HURRY and place your order RIGHT THIS VERY MOMENT because last year's set was as cute as this one and it went out-of-stock in a couple of hours only! It will only be available while supplies last.

So today's project features a koala and its baby, that I stamped twice, in order to represent a family. Catchy, right? I thought they were too cute not to use them this way AND I also have a christening coming up, so basically two birds one stone ;-) But you get the idea why you MUST order this set, because it's super-duper versatile!

As you can see, I used some new products, too! Can anybody say SugarCut – Arrow Cover PlateZig Zag Stitched Rectangles and the essential Spots & Stripes Brights Patterned Paper Collection?!

Want to see it live? Here's the video I did on the SugarPea Designs YouTube channel!

Still not sure? Look at this and buy it, I swear|

Oh and make sure to hop over the SugarPea Designs blog to see what the design team did to celebrate this awesome collaboration with Simon Says Stamp for STAMPtember !

SugarPea Designs: New release on video!

Good morning everyone!

I'm slowly recuperating from my short-but-awesome birthday trip to Walt Disney World this week-end and I have to admit I'm not scared to say this year will be AMAZING!

But enough with the personal stuff, let's give you what you really want, which I assume is a glimpse at the new release from SugarPea Designs on video, right?!

So here's a card I created with both the new paperpad and the Easily Amoosed stamp set. I'll be showing you how I coloured this little guy and I really hope you won't be scared, because he is too adorable not to grab!

You won't see the cardmaking process (sorry! the video was cut short without me knowing...bummer!), but I basically cut a cardbase to 4¼"x5½" so that it would fit perfectly the paper pad, then added two SugarCuts – Zig Zag Stitched Circles (one of them being stamped on with a sentiment and a tiny lantern from the stamp set) AND our moose which was previously coloured- die-cut-and-stacked-on-foam-tabs, too. Voilà, nothing more complicated than that!

Enjoy the video :-)

SugarPea Designs: New release, Pucker up!

It's Friiiiiiday, yippie yay!

And probably the day you've all been waiting for, as the new release at SugarPea Designs will be available TONIGHT at 6pm EST :-)

Today's card features the MOST AMAZING STAMP SET EVER DESIGNED by my friend Becky Pearce, I swearrrr! This set, called Pucker Up, is all about inspiration and memories of good times for me from our time at CHA this year (Phoenix 2017).

Mark my word, you'll see it everywhere! And while my teammates decided to use the pitcher stamp or the little lemons, I thought I'd turn this and go out-of-the-box with the gelato cups!

And don't forget that you receive a free stamp set (called our incentive program!) when you order for $60 and more ;-)

SugarPea Designs: New release day 1, Easily Amoosed!

Hey guys!

I know I've been quiet for a while, but that was only because I was a) uber-busy, like always and b) my mojo was completely out! It rarely happened to me in the past so I felt quite bummed by this, but I'm returning in full force today to share the first peek at SugarPea Designs' new release, woot aoot!

And can I just say....WOW! This release will make you scream and go camp outside your favourite scrapbooking store to get it, eheh ;-)

Here's my card featuring a new stamp set by my super-duper-awesome-and-amazing friend Becky called Easily Amoosed. I decided to use the little hedgehogs and create a pyramid out of it. They are paired with a new paperpad from the talented Simonne!

Make sure to hop on the SugarPea Designs blog to see what the team created with all three new products shown today!

LDRS Creative: Outdoor play!

Hello everyone!
I'm back with you today during this long week-end and just in time to share another round of cute cards featuring the Outdoor Play - Critter Stamps & Dies. I thought I'd show you how you can achieve fabulous projects without even using pattern papers, although we do have amazing ones in store!
On this first card, I folded a 4"x5½" cardbase made of black cardstock and added a piece of red cardstock, before placing a white embossed piece done with the Gilded Embossing Folders. I coloured two foxes, used the dies to fussy cut them in two shakes and placed them on my card with dimensional adhesive. Final step was to stamp a sentiment onto a Basic Pierced Ovals die-cut and voilà!
On my second card, I went all-white and nothing else! I embossed the whole cardbase with the Majestic Embossing Folders, then added a white die-cut from the Fancy Squares & Little Things Die Set with dimensional adhesive to make it pop. I completed the project with a few pieces from the stamp and die set.
See how easy it is to play with all those LDRS Creative products? I know, I'm totally biaised and over the moon with them, but I wish this has inspired you all!

Ah!

LDRS Creative: Garden bunnies!

Good morning!

I'm back on the blog today to share these two cards done with the lovely Garden Bunny stamp set that is now available in store at LDRS Creative!

I wanted to show you all how versatile a set and its coordinating dies can be, as these two projects are very different from one another.

On the first one, I created some hills by mixing die-cuts done with the Basic Cutting Edge Borders I from the Creative Basics line, stamped the bunnies and cut them with the matching dies, and finally added two layers of the Hello Word Die from the TLC Inspired Crafting line.

And here's my second card with this gorgeous set, featuring the Basic Pierced Ovals and the Gilded Oval Labels with a few of the accessories included in the Garden Bunny stamp set

I really hope you will enjoy this set as much as I do!

LDRS Creative: Sweet treats!

Hello everyone!
I'm super excited to show you this card, as it's one of my very favourites from the latest release here at LDRS Creative.
I started by stamping one of the cute piggies from the Sweet Treats - Critter Stamps & Dies and coloured it with markers to get him ready for die-cutting the silhouette with the matching dies in the same set! I wanted him to hold a cupcake so that it would turn into a birthday card, but you could decide to add pretty much all of the amazing accessories in there.
Notice something? I stamped not one, but three sentiments, oh yes! They all fit perfectly together, so why restrain yourself? And they're stacked on top of two layers of die-cuts from the Fancy Squares & Little Things Die Set to make things even better.

Here's a close shot so that you can see how much dimension there is on this card...

So hurry up and order your Sweet Treats set if you haven't done so already, because it's definitely a must-have!
