Your Next Stamp: Feature day - ABCs!

Hello everyone!

I'm back for my guest spot at Your Next Stamp with a super cute and quick project on the theme ABCs!

I used the super fun Alpha Splatter Stamp (CYNS533) to create a background with Oxide inks. I first added a few swirls of Wilted Violet, Cracked Pistachio and Broken China on some Bristol paper for better blending. Then, I stamped it with black Archival ink, then I rotated the stamp so that it wouldn't stamp at the same spot and inked it with Versamark, to be able to emboss it later on with white WOW! embossing powder.

The next step was to stamp out the funny cat from the Party Pets stamp set and to colour it with my Copic markers, before fussy cutting the whole thing. Not a fan of scissors?  Your Next Stamp has the coordinating die set just for you!

I completed the card with a sentiment from the  Party Pets stamp set onto black cardstock and that was it!

Your Next Stamp: Oh, nuts!

Good morning everyone!

I'm back as a guest designer for Your Next Stamp and I'm so happy to share this cute squirrel from the Acorn Fall Fun as it's FINALLY Fall season here in Quebec :-D

Can't help it, the colours and fresh air make me utterly happy!

And as most of you know by now, I'm also totally addicted to the Oxide Inks, so I thought why not pair them with the plaid pattern from the Fabulous Fall 6x6 Paper Pad to match the new combo challenge #73! They just blend soooooo well... and stamp really nicely, too! See that sentiment from the Acorn Fall Fun set? I was surprised how crisp it looked!

I completed the card with some yummy Crystal Clear and Sparkle Gumdrops available in store, which you should definitely add in your next cart! Just sayin' ;-)

The sketch

If you use the sketch feel free to swap out shapes or rotate; so long as we can see the basic sketch was your inspiration.

Your Next Stamp: New Release DT Dare - Get Inky!

I'm back as a guest designer for Your Next Stamp and I have to say that I was dying to show you this project using the new released set, Ooh lala! I mean... macaron, anyone?!

I also gave in once again with using Oxide inks from Ranger to create a matchy-matchy background to my beautiful macarons (AH!) and all I needed to add was some Washitape sentiments inked and white embossed on the new Washi Tape die, along with a few Crystal Clear and Sparkle Gumdrops (YNSGD077) from the store.

Nothing complicated, yet, so fun!

Your Next Stamp: New Release Blog hop!

Your Next Stamp: New release preview!

Hey guys!

I'm so happy to be sharing this card today for Your Next Stamp as their September guest once again! And guess what? It's releaseeeeee time!

I have to come clean about something; I'm crazy about Autumn. Like, literally! The smell, the colours, the activities, the food, everything! Even critters! So I was super-duper excited when I received a bunch of new products on this particular theme. Like it so far? I had trouble choosing what to play with at first, so I basically closed my eyes and picked the first things ahead, which ended up being critters, a brand new paperpad and some great sentiments! I also used a banner die (so versatile, as it fits the Washitape Sentiment perfectly!) and some Crystal Clear and Sparkle Gumdrops (YNSGD077) as a finishing touch.

Your Next Stamp: Challenge #72!

TGIF! :-)

What a week it's been so far! But now it's time to take a little break before restarting again more than ever, right? And I have the perfect inspiration post for you all, thanks to Your Next Stamp!

I used the lovely All Aboard (CYNS520) stamp set and gosh can I say how much I love it!!! Seriously, the add-ons are a breeze to play with, and you could turn this into so many cards! Boys, Christmas, Easter, Spring, Travel well, just to name a few.

But I did get out of my comfort zone once again by using the new Oxide inks on the background. I had that idea from the gorgeous colour combo that you can see on the Your Next Stamp blog. So I first created my background on a piece of Bristol paper (for better blending) and added some black cardstock to make it punch even more on top of my cardbase.

Then, I stamped the little train and those adorable smoke clouds onto Cryogen White cardstock to colour them with my Copic markers. Easy peasy! All I had to do to complete the card was to stamp two sentiments and that was it!

Your Next Stamp: Guest designing!

Hey guys!

I think the cat is out of the bag already... or the chickie! But I'm super excited to say that I'm a monthly guest at Your Next Stamp for September, woot woot!

YNS is an amazing canadian company that I love to support however I can and their products are just so inspiring! Wait 'til you see what they have in store for you guys with the upcoming release, totally worth every single penny! They also have a blog full of inspirational posts, challenges and more, so you definitely don't want to miss out on that one eiher.

So for my first project, I used the uber cute Birthday Chickie (CYNS452) stamp set, combined with the Whatnot Sentiments Set Ten (CYNS563). I couldn't decide which chickie I preferred, so I used them all... go figure!

Aren't they just adorable? It's like they are literally flying from happiness!

SugarPea Designs: Find Your Paradise

Hello SugarPeeps!

As today is my last day as a guest designer at SugarPea Designs, I would like to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. Yes, yes, you're all so utterly amazing and what you do with these products completely amazes me!

To leave on a good note, and let's face it, to brighten our days a bit during this everlasting November month, I took out my two favourite sets (SugarCuts - Pineapple Paradise and Pineapple Paradise stamp) and created a nice colorful card.

Just like on my second post as a guest designer this month, I first started with a 4"x11" piece of sturdy white cardstock and fold it from the top to create the cardbase. Then, I trimmed a piece of patterned paper to 4"x5½" so that it would fit perfectly on top of the cardbase, for a nice clean sharp look. I also added a 3¾"x5¼" piece of black cardstock and a 3½"x5" piece of patterned paper that were both attached by small silver brads.

Next, I die-cut three black pineapples and three patterned ones, so that each of them would have a shadow self. I placed them right in the middle of the card with 3d foam adhesive so that they would literally pop out.

I stamped a sentiment from the matching stamp set on stash paper, but you could clearly do the same on these amazing SugarCuts - Stitched Flags. It was later stapled with another patterned paper die-cut onto the cardbase. The finishing touch was adding gold glitter rings, but you could decide to add any sequins from the SugarPea store, too!

So, that's it for me as a SugarPea Guest Designer and I hope you will keep having as much fun as I do with these awesome products anytime soon! Mwah!

SugarPea Designs: Foxy Friend!

Hi everyone!

I'm back as a guest designer today for another fun inspiration post at SugarPea Designs. This time around, I thought I'd keep things simple as this sketch is almost exactly the same that I created with last week's card, but turned a bit differently with fishtails and such.

So, basically, I created a cardbase and layered lots of pieces of patterned papers that were just lying on my craft desk. I swear, sometimes, things don't need to be complicated at all! I stamped the cutie pie from the Foxy Friend stamp set (don't forget a matching pair of sentiments, too!) with pale ink and coloured him with Copic markers for a no-line colouring look. Voilà! Nothing more than that!

SugarPea Designs : Have An ICE Day

Good morning everyone!

I'm back as a guest designer for SugarPea today and I'm super excited to share some winter inspiration fun!

This adorable penguin from the Have An ICE Day stamp set was my very first SugarPea product, can you believe it?! Oh, now that I think of it, it was the Pineapple paradise stamp set, but it was in the same order, so it counts, right? ;-)

Here's how I did this super-duper simple card. I first started with a 4"x11" piece of sturdy white cardstock and fold it from the top to create the cardbase. Then, I trimmed a piece of patterned paper to 4"x5½" so that it would fit perfectly on top of the cardbase, for a nice clean sharp look.

Next step was stamping the little penguin on the bottom of a piece of 3¾"x5¼" colouring cardstock. I coloured him with Copic markers and added a few snowflakes as well. It was stacked with 3d foam adhesive on the cardbase.

You will also notice that I stamped not one, but two sentiments on a piece of white cardstock (leftover) with matching snowflakes. I then placed this label on top of another piece of letfover (this time, patterned paper) and put it atop the cardbase with a few rounds of jute trim and a metal snowflake.
