SugarPea Designs: New release, Let's Flamingle!

Happy Thursday everyone!

And be still, my heart, as you'll all go crazy with today's feature for SugarPea Designs! I swear, this release is da bomb!

As we release two stamp sets and their coordinating dies called Let's Flamingle and Tropic Like It's Hot, I think it's fair to say we've all been waiting for Summer to show up rather sooner than later.

I used the Let's Flamingle stamp and die set because I was really inspired to create a pink background with my Distress inks. No, it's not the Oxide ones, only the plain old inks, as I'm waiting to receive some and get playing. Still, I think the background looks great for what I intended to do!

Ah! La Carte: Les chats sont fous, 3e partie!

Bon samedi tout le monde!

Je suis en direct du CHA/Creativation, le grand rassemblement annuel des manufacturiers et distributeurs à Phoenix, et je peux vous dire que les nouveautés sont tout simplement magnifiques! Que ce soit du côté de Graphic 45, de Kaisercraft ou de BoBunny, c'est époustouflant. Je vous promets quelques photos dans une prochaine chronique!

Mais en attendant, voici la troisième partie de ma chronique sur les étampes de chats de Tim Holtz. C'est simple, mon but est de vous démontrer encore une fois à quel point un seul ensemble d'étampes peut être utilisé de multiples façons!

Toujours avec les marqueurs aquarelles Zig sur du carton Bristol, j'ai utilisé la technique de masque afin de créer un trio tout simple.

Je vous rappelle les deux ensembles à thématique féline que vous pouvez vous procurer.

Ah!La carte: Les chats son fous!

En ce beau samedi "frisket", juste avant que je ne m'attable pour créer toute la journée, je me permets de vous montrer la première partie de ma série de cartes HYPER simples faites à partir d'étampes bien rigolotes de Tim Holtz. J'ai nommé la ligne de produits "crazy cats", petite soeur des "crazy dogs", et "crazy birds".

Je suis tombée en amour avec leur expression si intense! Cette carte-ci vous montre bien l'effet aquarelle des marqueurs Zig avec l'encre Archival de Ranger sur une scène que j'ai créé de toute pièce avec l'ensemble d'étampes. Lorsqu'on veut mettre l'emphase sur une émotion, pas besoin de flaflas; du carton (ici agencé de façon asymétrique pour un look différent), quelques gouttes de Nuvo Drops, de la mousse 3D, et voilà le travail!

L'ensemble d'étampes en question et les matrices de découpe, qui se font en grand et petit formats! N'hésitez pas à les demander sur le forum par ICI ou encore sur le groupe Facebook!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps : Halloweennnnnnn challenge!

I kept her very CAS, as she was first supposed to be published in a magazine, but hey, she's still cute, right?

Bloom Girl : Peyton in a Vintage Christmas way!

Hey everyone!

I'm here with you today to present Bloom Girl Peyton! As the holidays season approaches, I wanted to show you that all the Bloom Girls (and boy!) can be turned into a Christmas ornament, gift, home decor, and of course, cards! So this is the first of my (hopefully) long list of ideas!

As always, I stamped my image first, coloured it, and fussy cut with sharp scissors the parts I wanted to keep. You don't have to use the full image/design if you think something can't fit what you have in mind! Then, it's up to you to figure out a sketch for your card, starting with your favourite christmas patterned paper, and stunning pops of colours added by your embellishments.

If you are familiar with these books and movies, you'll easily recognize GANDALF and GALADRIEL!!! You'll find so many amazing creations on today's hop featuring both new images and sentiments from these fabulous new sets!

Bloom Girls : Fancy Christmas tags with Hope and Free Spirit

Good morning Bloomies!

Back on the blog today with another Christmas inspiration for you, gift tags! You might remember my video on how to make a Bloom Girl tag earlier in November (warning - french speaking eheh!), where I was already starting the background of two more tags. Well, here they are today!

The first one was made with a watercolour paper tag absorbing all the ink from the Color Bloom sprays that was left on my teflon mat, then dried with a heat tool. I added some light paste through a stencil, letting it dry on its own this time to make sure it stays in shape. After that, I added a beautiful piece of Prima trimming in the middle, half-stamped Bloom Girl Free Spirit and coloured her with Copic markers. She was then put on 3D foam adhesive, got bloomed up with some gorgeous flowers and THAT'S IT! Quick and easy, right?!

The next tag was done with Bloom Girl Hope and approximately the same steps as the Free Spirit one, only this time when the light paste was fully dried, I added pinch of colour accents on it by dipping my brush into the Color Bloom spray bottles.
