SugarPea Designs: Coffee Lovers Spring Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!

I'm back with you today to share a new card for the Coffee Lovers Spring Blog Hop edition, woot woot!

I was super inspired by all the gorgeous coffee-related products at SugarPea Designs and wanted to give them all a try! And yes, this is why my video is a bit long, as I was too overwhelmed by all these goodies and had no clues where to start, eheh! But don't worry, the story ends up well... I think! :P

I used the SugarCut – Coffee To Go Cup, Coffee Words, Chatterbox Journal Card, Gift Tag dies and the Espresso Yourself stamp set. I tried to modify my patterned paper from 7 Dots Studio using the Watercolor Brush Strokes stamp set with some Archival Ink and Hero Arts Cocoa mini ink cube. Both inks were also used to stamp the sentiment on some Layered Treat Labels (and their coordinating die set).

La-La Land Crafts: New release, SuperHero Marci and Luka!

Hello, hello! 

OH and TGIF! But as I'm getting ready for a full weekend retreat in Quebec City, I'm clearly wishing I'd be feeling stronger than this, ahah ;-)

So, onto today's card... another one for La-La Land Crafts :-D Have you seen their latest release?! Wow! And this time around, I thought I'd go very clean and simple to really focus how cute Luka and Marci look as superheroes.

I wanted the card to be elegant, too, so I paired them with a few layers of neutral cardstock and a starry pattern paper from 7 Dots Studio.

Aren't they fabulous together?

LDRS Creative is hopping!

Good morning and welcome to an awesome hop!

I first chose an image (Looking Gorgeous from the All Dressed Up line at LDRS Creative) that I wanted to turn into a kind of gothic look with dark papers and a bright teal touch with my Copic markers. After stamping her in a pale ink and when the colouring was done, I stenciled the regular oval from the Gilded Oval die set and cut the silhouette with my scissors , and then die-cut another regular oval in a pattern paper, and a Gilded frame in brown cardstock.

Then, after placing everything in a sketchy way, I picked out a few strings of twine to frame the whole thing. I also added a huge bow next to the image, so that the focal point would stay in the same area. And why not add a double-loop bow with some light blue trim right into the flowers?

Oh and to give a bit more dimension to this funky sketch, I die-cut the third guilded design from the die set twice, and folded them in two, so that they would appear as door locks or binders on the side of the card.
