SugarPea Designs: Why fit in when you were born to stand out {Stamping Autism Awareness Blog Hop}

Hey, all!

I promise, this is my last post for today, eheh! This great cause has touched everyone and another of my design teams decided to jump in for more fun and prizes, so please allow me to post once more for SugarPea Designsofficial sponsor for the Stamping Autism Awareness Blog Hop organized by Veronica Zalis!

We decided that rainbow was definitely a thing, as everyone SHINES! So when creating this card, I had in mind to create a loose background that had pieces of a puzzle almost distinctly, with a huge burst of colours! And who says colour means Oxide inks as my latest thrill, right?! Now if I remember correctly, I used Candied Apple, Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron and Wilted Violet on a 4"x5¼" piece of heavy white cardstock. I then sprinkled some water and removed the excess with a scott towel, to create the oxided look. Then, I stamped the flamingos, palm tree, leaves, sentiment and water waves from the Let's Flamingle stamp set in Archival Black ink from Ranger to create a very unique look against the colorful background.

Once everything was dry, I added foam tape behind the inked panel and stacked it onto a regular A2 cardbase (4¼"x5½") and finished it with iridescent sequins for some more shine :-)

I am so happy you stopped by my blog today! Please be sure to visit the SugarPea Designs Blog for a look at some of the fantastic cards for today's hop and leave some comments for a chance to win prizes!
