Hi guys!
I'm back to share some Christmas cards using fabulous products by Concord & 9th. When I saw their release earlier this Fall, I admit to have gone bonkers and ordered everything, lol! Unfortunately, my plans to make tons of Christmas cards were...ahem... modified ;-) So I didn't get to enjoy my new goodies as much as I wished it.
HOWEVER, my friend Lea from Lea Lawson Creates came out with the idea of a Christmas Creating All Year challenge on her blog and I decided to join her, so that I won't be rushing anything next November, hehe!
If you want to hop on the wagon, too, make sure to link your January cards to her post HERE!
So, I'm starting out the year with four cards using the Concord & 9th goodies I bought.
The first one features some rose gold accent (yes, there was a theme here, hehe!) using the Happy Holidays Label dies in black and white cardstock over a kraft A2 cardbase that was layered with black cardstock and some patterned paper from the Sparkle paper pad by Kaisercraft. I completed it with a few droplets of White Nuvo Drops from Tonic Studios.
Using the same paperpad from Kaisercraft on my second card, I cut a piece of patterned paper to fit an A2 white cardbase, added a piece of vellum to tone down a bit the busy pattern, then added a diecut from rose gold cardstock using the Merry & Bright die set. Isn't it GORGEOUS? I may have been a bit in awe just looking at it. I completed it with a few droplets of White Nuvo Drops from Tonic Studios.
On this third card, I created a background by embossing different snowflakes from the Snow Flurry stamp set in gold and white on black cardstock. I stacked it onto an A2 kraft cardbase with foam tape, then added the Warm Wishes sentiment from Very Merry Sentiments that was inked in black onto a piece of white cardstock and layered with vellum for more contrast with the black cardfront. I completed it with a few droplets of White Nuvo Drops from Tonic Studios.
And last but not least, I first stamped the largest snowflake from the Snow Flurry stamp set, embossed it in gold, then diecut the whole silhouette with the Snow Flurry coordinating die set. To make sure I could contrast the sentiment, I diecut the Merry & Bright die set in black cardstock and glued it right on top of the snowflake. Next step was to stack everything on an A2 kraft cardbase, which was layered with a piece of red patterned paper that was on my craft table (don't remember this pad from Kaisercraft, sorry!) and a piece of vellum once again. I completed it with a few droplets of White Nuvo Drops from Tonic Studios.
I hope you like this idea of creating Christmas cards all year round and will join us!

These are SO gorgeous!! I love the Merry & bright die, and I only used it once during the holidays! I now must use it again, and again, and again...lol! So glad you joined in on my Christmas All Year challenge, friend!
Beautiful lineup. Wasn't it great to a)actually use stuff and b)get some cards made ahead of time!
