The Greeting Farm: #spreadjoynotgerms Official Blog Hop

Here is my card featuring the Hello Spring Word die and the unicorn from You're A Gem stamp set. Nothing screams more happy thoughts to me than unicorns, rainbows and Spring season!

To create this card, I first stamped the unicorn from You're A Gem stamp set with my Mini Misti tool and my favorite Raven hybrid ink from LDRS Creative onto a piece of coloring cardstock (I like to use the Cryogen White one, but it's no longer available anywhere :( :( :( )

Next, I used Copic markers to create a rainbow look on her hair and a bit of grey shading to accentuate her sparkly white skin.

When she was done, I fussy cut her with my trusty Cutter Bee scissors, leaving a thin white border all around her silhouette.

Next, I created an A2 white cardbase from Neenah Solar White 100lbs cardstock, folding from the top. I glued directly on top of the card front an A2 white panel cut out and embossed at the same time from another sheet, using the With All My Heart cover die from LDRS Creative. 

I added the little unicorn at the bottom with foam tape, for more dimension. Then, I diecut three pieces of the Hello Spring Word die from The Greeting Farm, all from different colors of Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock, so that they would echo the rainbow feel of my image.

Word dies can be scary to glue down, but fear not, spray adhesives are the key! I always keep a cheap box to spray within on my piece and then pick it up with a pair of tweezers. It's easy and so fun to layer them, slightly next to each other!

Finally, I added a few crystals and sequins for a nice finishing touch on this super happy project!
