Advent Calendar Extravaganza with Taheerah Atchia!

Hello everyone!

I'm thrilled to be part for the first time of the Advent Calendar Extravaganza!

Advent Calendar Extravaganza is -the- festive event of the season! This ‘hop with a twist’ was dreamed up by Taheerah Atchia and features surprise destinations each day! Here's the card, or shall I say, trio of cards, that I created with the lovely Merry Makers stamp set. 

This is a true favourite of mine, as they look so whimsical! Each card was created on the same concept, meaning that I started with a 110lbs white cardstock folded in two, to get a regular 4¼"x5½" cardbase. Then, I added an inked background made with different Distress inks.

On the first one, I used the SugarCut – Starburst Cover Plate to die-cut the inked panel, and then stamped a sentiment (also from the Merry Makers stamp set), onto which a popped the little elf with foam tabs. 

I completed the project with iridescent sequins and some glossy accents on the lightbulbs.

On the second one, I used the SugarCut – Arrow Cover Plate with the inked panel and to make sure my image would pop, I added it onto a SugarCuts – Zig Zag Stitched Circle made with white cardstock. 

Again, a few dabs of glossy accents on the red paint, and some sequins to complete the project.

And one the third card, I created my own panel by adding some heat embossed snowflakes from the Flurry Of Warm Wishes stamp set  on the inked panel. 

I rounded the corners with a punch and really like the finishing touch it gives. What do you think? I also popped the heat embossed sentiment on the cardbase with foam tabs, and added sequins once again.
